Center Stage is the Liberty School district's summer theatre camp for middle school students.  You will be working with students and directors from other middle schools in the district.  Over the coarse of this 9 day theatre program, you will audition, be cast in and perform in a theatre production on stage!  You can choose to be a part of the cast or the crew so there is truly something for everyone.  Center Stage will be offered HERE at Heritage Middle School so the final performance will be on the HMS stage!  This is a great opportunity!  Use the link below to sign up!

Attention Cast of Commedia Delight . . .

Mrs. Wheeler will not be at rehearsal today but we WILL still be holding rehearsal after school from 3:00-4:30.  Ms. Hemann will be here!  Tomorrow we will block scenes 1 AND 2!  ALL cast will be required at rehearsal tomorrow for blocking!

The Crew List for Commedia Delight has been posted on the Theatre Callboard.  If you applied for a crew position, check the list TODAY to see which crew/crews you are on.  Our first crew meeting is TOMORROW from 3:00-3:30 in the auditorium.  You MUST be at this meeting or you will be dismissed from your crew position!

Crew Applications for the Spring Play are due TOMORROW!!  We have lots of open crew positions!  Please turn your application in to Mrs. Wheeler by the end of the day tomorrow, February 17!  The crew list will be posted on Thursday, February 18.  The first crew meeting will be in the auditorium on Friday, February 19 from 3:00-3:30.

To All Who Auditioned . . .

Thank you so much for auditioning for this year’s spring play, Commedia Delight!  We were so impressed by your energy, exaggeration and focus throughout the audition!  Auditioning for a show requires a lot of courage - you should be proud of yourself no matter the outcome!

Please remember that casting decisions are very difficult!  There are so many talented students at this school and it is always hard for us to choose roles!  If you did not make this show, please do not give up!  We WANT you to keep trying!  We would also love for you to be a part of the crew!

If you did make the show, congratulations!!  You should be very proud of your performance during auditions!  We are really excited to work with all of you!!  Also remember that there is always someone behind you who did not receive a part.  Please be humble and gracious when viewing this list!

Our FIRST REHEARSAL will be on Tuesday, February 16 from 3:00-5:00 in the auditorium.  All cast members must attend!  Scripts and schedule will be distributed at the rehearsal!  Again, congratulations!

Everyone who auditioned for the play yesterday did a FANTASTIC job!  You truly blew us away!  Don't forget to check the Theatre Callboard for the callback list.  REMEMBER . . . just because your name is not on the list, does NOT mean you didn't make the show!!!  Callbacks are today in the auditorium from 3:00-4:00.  Everyone who auditioned should check the Theatre Callboard after school on Thursday for the final cast list!!

Congratulations to the HMS Speech and Debate Team for receiving the 1st place small school sweeps award at the Moreland Ridge tournament this past weekend!  Lots of students made it to the final round of competition and received individual awards in their events.  Great job guys!

Speech and Debate Teams members, don't forget . . .

Our first tournament is tomorrow, Friday, February 5.  You are excused at 2:15.  Come to Mrs. Wheeler's room to take roll and then load the bus.  We will NOT be coming back in the building when we return from the tournament so you will need to take all your stuff with you to the bus.  Bring snacks if you would like.  There will also be concessions for purchase at the tournament.  Also, don't forget to wear your tournament clothes to school tomorrow!!

    Student Director applications are due to Mrs. Wheeler tomorrow!  All students applying should check the theatre board on Thursday to see the student director list.  Student directors will have a brief (10 min) meeting after school on Friday in Mrs. Wheeler's room!
